A blog is an affair of the heart, but it is written using your head. You use the essence of your sole to touch the sole of others. Make them think, teach them, make them wonder of the possibilities, make them want a life they don’t already have. This I know Kimberly could do in her sleep.
Every once in a while you find a truly truly smart person, and if your lucky enough, you get to call them your friend. You travel thousands of miles in the span of your life time, tripping over obstacles along the way, picking yourself up and dusting yourself off. But if your paying attention and the thing you just tripped over is that truly smart person stick around and get to know them because her name just might be Kimberly.
You are far too kind my friend. I really appreciate your words.
I seem to be at a constant battle with my blog. I want it to do so many things, but I’m having trouble getting it to do them. My blog changes a little everyday it seems. My husband has finally started taking cracks at it. He’s a little better with the technical stuff at least.
Hi! That’s so nice your husband is techie and can help you. I’m winging it with a little bit of help from my friends.
Blogs do morph – and not just with the technical stuff – over time. Just like we do. Time, our experiences, our expectations all change as time passes.
Unlike other more journalistic articles where writers/reporters are expected to stay out of the story, blog posts are all about your own viewpoint. In that respect, they’re more like columns.
Your passion comes through. That makes a big difference in the blogosphere. Keep up the great work.
BTW, I’m putting a link to your blog in my blogroll. I hope you don’t mind.
I needed to hear that…thank you. I need to get back in to my writing rhythm and quit worrying about making it perfect.
Thank you for adding me to your blogroll! I need to set one up myself this weekend and will add you as well. Have a wonderful weekend!
I am having a similar tug of war:) I had forgotten the name of your blog and then saw you on tweetdeck … I love looking at your photos. I have friends with horses, but do not have any myself. Amazing animals:)
Oh wow! It’s always a bit jarring when I get a comment on my blog.
I think about it every day wondering about the direction. Starting to feel a strong pull towards blogging vs Twitter. It’s hard though, you know?
Your work is amazing!
It is hard … I am still figuring out what direction to take. I’m sure over thinking it does not help the matter. Twitter …hmmm not sure either … it seems more like people are just trying to sell their products … it becomes diluted for me. I like the ones who are real. Good luck. I will stay tuned. And thanks … I just did an abstract of a horse the other day … not to my satifsfaction, but I’m workin’ on it. -angela
You are spot on Angela. The mix on twitter has really tipped heavily towards dare I say spam. It has such a different feel than it did say six months ago.
Oh wow! I can’t wait to see your abstract of a horse! I absolutely adore your work with the dove. I’m trying to pull up your site to reference the name of the piece I’m referring to but it’s stalling out for me?
Thank you so much for connecting.
Yeah, I think maybe I have too much many images on my site. I don’t have names on them either … I have zero ability to name them. It seems trite, but I know at some point I’ll have to make them identifiable. hmmm. Thanks, though! Good to connect with you, too! -angela
